SnapLedger Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SnapLedger application for iPhone and iPad (“SnapLedger” or “the App”). By downloading, installing, or using SnapLedger, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled when you use SnapLedger.
Acceptance of Terms
By using SnapLedger, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to follow them. Your continued use of the App means you continue to accept the Terms then in effect.
Description of the Service
SnapLedger is a personal expense tracking application. Depending on the features available on your device and in your version of the App, SnapLedger may allow you to:
- Record income and expenses
- Manage recurring transactions
- Scan receipts
- Generate spending insights
- Export and import local backups
Features may vary by device, operating system version, Apple platform capabilities, and App configuration. We may add, change, limit, or remove features over time.
Eligibility
You may use SnapLedger only if you are able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you, and only if you meet any minimum age required by Apple or by law in your country or region.
If you use SnapLedger on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that person.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- How you use the App and the information you enter into it
- Verifying all financial records before relying on them
- Keeping your device secure, including any passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID you use
- Complying with applicable laws when using SnapLedger
- Maintaining backups of your data if you want to keep copies outside the App
You agree not to misuse SnapLedger, attempt to disrupt the App, or use it for unlawful purposes.
Local Data Storage
SnapLedger is designed so that your financial information is stored locally on your device. You control the data you enter into the App on that device.
Because data is stored on your device, it can be lost if you delete it, clear local data, uninstall the App, reset or lose your device, or experience device failure or damage. SnapLedger cannot recover deleted local data from your device.
Data Backups
SnapLedger may allow you to export your data as a local backup file and to import a compatible backup. You choose where backup files are saved and who can access them.
You remain responsible for maintaining backups of your data. SnapLedger does not guarantee that any particular backup will succeed, remain readable, or be compatible with future versions of the App. Always verify that an export completed successfully if you rely on it.
Apple Intelligence Features
On supported devices, SnapLedger may use Apple on-device intelligence capabilities to provide convenience features such as:
- Receipt extraction
- Merchant detection
- Category suggestions
- Financial insights and related suggestions
These features are provided only as a convenience. SnapLedger does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated results. You should verify all extracted values, suggestions, and insights before saving or relying on them.
Availability of these features depends on your device, system software, and Apple platform capabilities. When they are unavailable, related parts of the App may be limited or hidden.
No Financial Advice
SnapLedger is a personal tracking tool. It is not accounting software, tax software, legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice.
Spending insights, summaries, forecasts, scores, and similar information are informational only. They are not a substitute for professional advice. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for verifying all financial records.
Accuracy of Information
Information shown in SnapLedger depends on what you enter, what you import, and what optional convenience features generate. SnapLedger does not guarantee that any amount, category, merchant, date, insight, or other displayed information is correct.
You should review transaction details and AI-assisted results carefully before relying on them for personal records, reporting, or decisions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapLedger and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of profits; loss of data; business interruption; or costs of substitute services arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to SnapLedger will not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to obtain the App during the twelve months before the claim arose. If you obtained the App at no charge, that amount may be zero.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, the limits above apply only to the extent allowed by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such warranties cannot be excluded by law.
Availability of the App
We aim to keep SnapLedger useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Access may be affected by device conditions, operating system updates, Apple services, third-party services, network conditions, maintenance, or changes to the App.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We are not obligated to provide support, updates, or a particular set of features indefinitely.
Intellectual Property
SnapLedger, including its name, branding, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App on devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms that apply to your download.
You do not receive ownership of the App. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App except where applicable law expressly allows it.
You retain ownership of the content and financial records you enter into SnapLedger.
Third-party Services
SnapLedger may rely on Apple platforms and third-party services to provide parts of the experience, such as app distribution, diagnostics, analytics, or configuration. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, except as required by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using SnapLedger at any time by uninstalling the App and deleting any local copies or backups you no longer want to keep.
We may suspend or end your ability to use the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and publish the updated Terms at this website address.
If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to make it noticeable. Continued use of SnapLedger after updated Terms are published means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different approach.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country or region require otherwise, and except where Apple’s App Store terms require a different governing law for certain claims related to the App Store.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
